At long last it’s time to see friends and family, hit those pub beer gardens and dine alfresco again! While it feels fantastic to get out and about, if it’s been a while since you’ve had your beauty fix you may be wondering what treatment to try first. In our blog we run through the best treatments to put a spring in your step.

Marvellous microdermabrasion

The main aim of microdermabrasion is to exfoliate your skin and remove dead skin cells. It’s basically a non-surgical resurfacing treatment. Microdermabrasion not only stimulates cellular turnover (shedding of dead skin cells and replacement with younger cells) to give you a much improved complexion and skin elasticity, but it also unclogs pores and reduces enlarged pores – brilliant news for those who struggle with spots and greasy skin.

Microdermabrasion can improve the appearance of shallow acne scars, dark spots, minor sun damage and hyperpigmentation, as well as improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. As if that wasn’t enough, microdermabrasion improves blood flow and lymphatic drainage. Increased circulation improves the nutrition delivered to skin cells and aids cell production. Lymph drainage removes toxins from the skin, making it feel refreshed and cleansed.

Check out our microdermabrasion page and while you are at it, our sister treatments of:

  • Thermotherapy
  • Cryotherapy
  • Ultra-sound
  • Bio-lift / Micro-current
  • LED Light Therapy

Nail it!

If you want that fresh out the salon, spring look, then going for a manicure / pedicure is a must. Go bold for nails that scream ‘look at me’ or pastel for a pretty but more subtle look. If you don’t know what way to go then the classic chic French manicure is the answer. Why not add rhinestones for that special occasion, or even swap your nude colours for something a bit brighter to reflect your personality.

For those getting their toes out for the first time in a while, a luxury spa pedicure to help soften skin and make feet feel amazing (after a winter clad in boots) is positive heaven.

Yes it’s time to get those legs back out! If you have been neglecting the razor during lockdown, or just want a longer lasting hair removal treatment, now is the time to consider waxing.

With a really good and experienced waxing therapist, you’ll find it doesn’t hurt half as much as you are expecting and the results are really worth it. Imagine weeks of hair-free legs, no more sweating in jeans while you friends wear floaty, cool dresses and the new spring wardrobe you can show off!

Want to know more on ditching the razor? Read our beginners guide to waxing or check out our waxing page.

Before you wax, or even consider going near fake tan you need to exfoliate. Exfoliation removes dead skin, leaving your skin feeling smoother, fresher and allows products (such as moisturisers, serums, facial treatments and fake tan ect.) to absorb into the skin more successfully.

While there are many products on the market to help us all exfoliate at home, where is the fun in that? Why not treat yourself to a full on spa treatment such as our intensely cleansing salt scrub.

Not the makeup, but the sun lotion. You’d be surprised how quickly you can burn (whatever your skin type) and as we all know, sunburn ages skin, along with increasing your risk of skin cancer. So with us all having to spend more time outdoors, (and the British weather giving us four seasons in a day) don’t be shy with the suncream. Slap it on and make sure your everyday face cream of choice includes an SPF of 15 or more to protect your skin. Invest in a good aftersun and body moisturiser too.

So if you want to strut your stuff this spring, get in touch with us to book your next treatment.
